Sunset Romance Styled Wedding Shoot
Hi Everyone! Welcome to my blog! For those that have been here before; I am delighted you are back! And for those that are new here, I thank you for the support and I look forward to sharing some images below that could serve as inspiration for your wedding or projects!
Today I am pleased to showcase a romantic “Sunset Romance” themed styled wedding shoot. I got the chance to work with some lovely vendors back in March who were integral in putting this shoot together. It is safe to say that even though no actual sunlight was seen in this shoot, the elements featured just made it feel as warm and lovely as a sunset. From the tablescapes to the amazing outfits that our “bride” and “groom” wore, to the cake, to the marquee letters, to the stunning floral backdrop and floors (I mean i could go on an on). All the vendors really just gave it a lovely effort and It all came together quite nicely. Our styled shoot is currently featured in the fall issue of Hitched Magazine and so if you still love to read print magazines you can check it out at a store near you.
I have to say organizing a styled shoot is not an easy task, especially with a large team of vendors but I would like to thank Erica of Eri Styled Events (as well as the Coque Millinery) and Omega of Doll Face Dredie for coming up with the vision for this shoot and inviting me to be a part of it. I would also like to thank the National Club of Toronto for letting us use their neat space (we were super grateful as it was a rainy day that day so an indoor location was great!).
If you love anything you see please don’t forget to show some support by checking out the links to the vendors below.

A "Love Letters" Themed Inspirational Shoot at Mint Room Studios and High Park
Hi Hi Hi!!!! Happy 2019!
Oh my gosh am I ever excited to present today’s blog post to you all! I did a styled shoot with a lovely team of vendors and the photos turned out so beautiful.
Our theme for this shoot was "love letters". I was inspired by film photography to create photos that look like they have been shot with film. Though the photos were all shot digitally they were edited to look like they might have been taken with a film camera (of course we were also lucky with the lighting conditions as that is crucial to having bright and airy film photography type photos).
A dusty blue colour palette was chosen for this shoot and our stylist from Pink and White Events, along with our decor provider Vintage Belle Rentals utilized a number of vintage inspired items such as the beautiful golden edged frames and trays to create a stunning backdrop for the photos. Our Calligrapher (Jovie of Pinya Letters) created special "love note" calligraphy pieces that were featured on mirrors, frames and traditional paper "letters" of course.
Our florist Lovely Blooms designed a chic bouquet featuring beautiful white florals and eucalyptus leaves, along with other types of green foliage. The cake was a pretty dusty blue and gold accented beauty, with florals adding the finish touch, The cake designer Nazia of La Patissiere really made sure that every thing looked perfect before I could take a shot with the cake!
Our dress designer Kate of Hollie X Kate conceived a classically "simple but stylish" flowy dress with a cute lace top piece. The Makeup artist for this shoot Prerna of Prerna and Co. kept the model's look very natural and timelessly beautiful with a subtle pop of colour in the lips. The video for this shoot which was creatively shot and edited by Anum of Anum Fotos can be found in the link at the end of the blog post. Our locations for the shoot were at Mint Room Studios (The Lounge Room) and High Park (which we chose due to it being 1. So Beautiful! and 2. A seven minute drive away from Mint Room)
2019 Brides to be! I hope you can find some inspiration from this shoot! It’s simple but oh so elegantly beautiful. One does not have to spend a ton to have a beautiful intimate wedding.

A Cinematography Post! Vintage Themed Styled Shoot
Hi Hi Hi! Today's post is exciting for me as after a very long time I am finally releasing the video I shot and edited from a styled shoot that I planned and organized along with my friend Husaina from HBaraya Photography. We had a very talented team of vendors and team members come together to bring the shoot to life and I have to give them all a shoutout on here so here goes:
VENDORS AND TEAM:
Photography at this shoot was done by Husaina Baraya of HBaraya Photography. Husaina was such a lovely partner to team with and it was a pleasure to work with her. You can soon see her new website at www.hbarayaphotography.com.
The absolutely stunning dresses that the models wore were generously provided by the designer Mishal of Behsah
The beautiful beautiful floral Headpieces, bouquets and centrepieces were done by none other than Bilquees of Zuhoor Designs, and it was stunning. If you have read my blog posts before, you will have noticed that she has done the flowers for majority of the weddings I have covered and that is because she is simply the best out there. None other like her.
Brittany Lynn of Events By B.lynn researched her way into setting the scene for us with the vintage victorian theme. Along with her right hand woman Brenda, they were able to take us back in time.
Castlefied Designs provided us with two beautiful invitations for the two looks and I loved the colours! Sophie the designer and founder, is amazing at what she does but I really don't need to tell you that, as her work speaks for itself.
Nada of Vanilla Bean Cakery went way out of her way to design the two beautiful cakes for the shoot and WOW WOW WOW you have to see the beautiful purple cake she created. To say it was stunning would be very much an understatement. I am not just saying this but I truly believe she is one of the most talented cake designers that I have come across in my time as a wedding photographer.
Noura of Nur Artistry did a fabulous job on the Make-Up and we appreciated that she came all the way from Kitchener to be a part of the shoot. I think she did a most lovely job showcasing the two looks.
I can't thank Yasmin Mathurin enough for assisting us with the shoot that day and offering all the advice she had when it comes to film-making, like letting us know where exactly the reflectors should be placed lol. She is a great journalist and film-maker, with a passion that is inspiring.
Our Models Kate and Lisa were incredibly fabulous! We are grateful for their patience.
Finally I would like to thank Natasha of Natasha Events and Travel for finding some time out of her day to come assist us with the shoot. We truly appreciated it
So... do check out the video above (hit the HD button) and enjoy all the details featured in this shoot. It was a lovely one!
