Natania and Wiliston's Beautiful Micro Wedding at Preto Loft!

Hi Everyone!

Super excited to blog this wedding! You saw their beautiful e-shoot photos back in January. Now here are the wedding photos from their stunning micro wedding. If there was one wedding that really defined being affected by COVID disruptions, it would be this one. I will forever remember this wedding as being one of the defining weddings I got to cover during the craziness of the pandemic. It was a memorable one for sure. I have to commend the couple for their positive attitude even when they had to cancel and re-plan their wedding numerous times as well as having to change locations a couple of times.

This super intimate wedding (and I mean super intimate) was such an unforgettable event. The decor was simple but outstanding. I loved the blue and white hues up against the greyish backdrop of the amazing Preto Loft space. The bride’s makeup was done by the talented Ola of Olarah Glam. The bride wanted a unique darker styled look and Ola delivered! The bridemaids’ baby blue outfits were stunning. Honestly after seeing their outfits, I now feel baby blue bridesmaid dresses are my favourite! one thing is for sure they photograph beautifully!

My favourite parts of the wedding were the first look with her brides and also the confetti exit by the couple at the end of the day (biodegradable confetti was used)! To see the joy on everyone’s faces was such an amazing experience and one that as a photographer you hope for at every wedding!

Natania and Wiliston's 3 Location E-shoot at the Aga Khan Museum, Downtown Toronto and Rouge Park

Hey Everyone! Happy New Year! I am super excited for all the amazing things to come this year and proud to share some of the work I got a chance to be a part of in the past couple of years! My motto for this year is to “strive for progress and not perfection”. That said, I hope to consistently blog more of my shoots so as to showcase more of my work, and not wait too long in the hopes of “perfecting” each blog post (because I am definitely somewhat of a perfectionist when it comes to showcasing my work).

This year I have decided to start off my blog posts with a double header! I will be blogging the wedding of Natania and Wiliston, but first, I realized I never blogged their e-shoot and my gosh I decided there is no way I am going to let any more time pass without me blogging this photoshoot of this stunning couple! I love to see black love, especially one rooted and grounded in faith.

It was such a pleasure to work with this lovely couple last year! They are truly amazing! From their e-shoot to their wedding it was all so beautiful, even through the ups and downs of the pandemic that had them rescheduling their wedding a couple of times.

For their e-shoot We took the photos at the Aga Khan Museum, Downtown Toronto (My fav spots here were union station and the Elephant Sculpture!) and finally at Rouge Park. There were 3 different looks and I love how the final outcome of the photos turned out!

Happy Valentine's Day! Joycelyn and Clay's Proposal E-shoot

Happy Valentine’s Day everyone! I hope you are all spending it in an amazing way with your loved ones!

Today I am happy to share this beautiful Valentine’s day shoot! Now, before any of you come for me. I know we are under a lockdown and these images were actually taken last year, before the world changed :( .

Joycelyn and Clay are one of the nicest couples I have had a chance to work with. Grounded in their Christian faith their love is beautiful.

If you have ever read my blog you will probably recognize Joycelyn, as back in 2019 I had covered her sister Grace’s wedding (you can see that wedding here) and it was such a pleasure to get to cover this proposal shoot at stunning Mintroom Studios. I love this studio because even though almost every photographer in this city has shot here. It is one of those places that lets a photographer’s work shine! I absolutely never tire from seeing all the beautiful work that is produced at this lovely studio! Also, I have to say that their staff is always so lovely!

I eventually also had the opportunity to cover Joycelyn and Clay’s Micro wedding ceremony last year. I am glad I was able to cover it because it was just right after the first quarantine period, and it took me out the psyche of being afraid of living in uncertain times. Of course I nearly passed out shooting in my mask for the first time, but I eventually got used to it after shooting numerous events in the summer. Anyway, I am grateful that their wedding was the one that got me excited to shoot weddings again last summer.

Shoot Location: Mintroom Studios

Joycelyn’s Hair and Makeup: Arthur Hair

Grace and Edward's Wedding at The Aga Khan Museum and Embassy Grand Banquet Hall

Hello everyone and welcome to my first wedding blog post of 2020! Can you believe I am posting it at the end of March! Gosh I need to get slightly better (okay a lot better) at this blogging thing. Currently the world is going through a scary and unprecedented time in history with the COVID-19 situation, which has effectively forced a lot of people to stay put at home. Well apart from our frontline heroes! Shoutout to them for their amazing work! I hope everyone is practicing social distancing and staying safe so we can alleviate the burden on our healthcare system and communities. I personally have been working from home these past two weeks and it has been crazy but I have been getting quite a lot done and now even got a bit of time to squeeze in this blogpost which I hope you will all enjoy because the photos are gorgeous!

This Ghanaian Canadian Wedding happened last year and am only now getting a chance to post it on here. It is an honour to be able to share images from the wedding of Edward and Grace who are one of the most elegant couples I have had the pleasure of photographing in my time as a wedding photographer.

This wedding was simply stylish and I am so happy to have been able to get the opportunity to capture it! I have to say Grace and Edward are probably one of the nicest couples I have ever had the pleasure of working with. I mean they even went out of their way to gift me with the most beautiful tulips after the wedding to say thanks, and I literally had tears in my eyes. Here is hoping every client I have moving forward can be as amazing as them.

The wedding day started off with getting ready shots at a hotel North of Toronto. For the creative session with the couple, we drove to the Aga Khan Museum and to our surprise the grounds were full of stunning white cherry blossom trees. How lucky were we! It was really something out of a fairytale!

The ceremony took place at the Embassy Grand Banquet Hall. The whole room was in awe when Grace started singing a beautiful song for her husband. Not a dry eye was left in that room after that.

The reception space was absolutely drop dead gorgeous. with the decor having being done by the most talented team from Dream Creations. Once the party started there was no stopping the dancing! Being a huge fan of Afro pop myself, I was so happy to hear all the amazing songs! Oh and did I mention there was a live band! Gosh this wedding was perfect! Okay I will stop writing now and move on to the photos. Enjoy!
