Mama Ibado Charity Launch 2016!

The Launch of the Mama Ibado Charity took place at the stunning Aga Khan Museum on Saturday February 27th.

The Mama Ibado Charity provides support for elders in rural communities in Kenya. Their mission is "feeding our elders is our responsibility"

The Launch featured speeches from Charity Founder and President Ahmed Jibril, The High Commissioner of Kenya to Canada The Honourable Ambassador John Lepi Lanyasunya, The Governor of Kenya's Red Cross Society Dr. Mohamud Said and the 1st Member of Parliament of Somali Heritage Mr. Ahmed Hussein (MP York South-Weston).

Performers at the event included the talented artist Faduma Mohamed and the Akwaba Dance group who entertained the crowd with some wonderful African Drumming and Dance.
