Hello, hello, hello! On this cold December day, I’m throwing it back to this lovely October shoot! We chose one of my favorite locations in the city, Osgoode Hall, for the session. It’s one of the few historic buildings in a city full of glass skyscrapers. After Osgoode Hall, we took a short walk to the iconic TD Towers, where we captured even more stunning images. This couple was such a delight to work with, and I’m wishing them the most beautiful wedding to come!

Lavinia and Carl's Engagement Shoot
Hi Hi Hi Everyone! Welcome to another blog post on my website! Summer has been quite crazy so far! In between the numerous weddings and the ridiculous amounts of editing I have to do, I can't even believe that I managed to find some time to blog this e-shoot session, but I just had to find some way because it was just so gorgeous! So here goes!
Carl and Lavinia are one of my Summer 2018 Wedding clients, with their wedding being in August. However they booked me earlier this year (after Lavinia met with me last year!) and we have been planning their wedding photography for a while now including their e-shoots.
We had planned to have two e-shoots for Carl and Lavinia. One was originally supposed to be in the winter, however just when we were all set to do the shoot you cannot imagine what happened! On the day we were headed to get their winter e-shoot done at the Scarborough Bluffs their car slid on some ice and straight into a ditch literally just a minute away from the Bluffs! Thankfully everyone was okay (including the passengers in the car in front of them, whose car actually rolled over into the ditch first). Anyway It really goes to show you how we should be thankful for the life we are given, as unfortunate events can happen at anytime and I have to say Lavinia and Carl handled it so well. So after that, and in order to make up for the cancelled first shoot, I had my friend Bilqees of Zuhoor Designs create a beautiful floral bouquet for the rescheduled e-shoot. As usual Bilqees did not disappoint and created a most beautiful masterpiece of a bouquet!
After re-scheduling we decided that for the first shoot we would go to Guildwood Park in beautiful Scarborough and for the Second Shoot we settled on Osgoode Hall and Nathan Phillips Square in the downtown area of Toronto.
A little about Lavinia and Carl is that they are both lawyers who met in law school (hence why we chose Osgoode Hall for the second shoot lol). They are quite possibly one of the cutest and nicest couples ever and I can't wait to capture their wedding in a couple of weeks (God Willing)!
Enjoy the Photos and catch you at my next blog post!

2nd E-shoot at Osgoode Hall
The day we had scheduled for this e-shoot, it was raining tons and we almost cancelled but am happy we stuck it out as the cloudy weather allowed for some gorgeous moody style portraits.
This couple is so fun they didn't mind goofing around to get in some "Black Panther" style shots

Angela and Andrew's Engagement Shoot at Osgoode Hall and Nathan Phillips Square
Hello Hello! Today's blog post is of an amazing engagement session I got the opportunity to do. A little backstory is that I had met Angela (the bride to be) through a mutual friend about a year earlier and since then she has come to be a big supporter of one of the projects I am currently working on (The BiaSHEara project). Angela got in touch with me about getting photos done for her recent engagement to her fiance Andrew, and I was super thrilled! The couple live in Ontario but will be getting married abroad in Kenya next year (how exciting!). They wanted to do their e-shoot in Toronto and so after a Skype consultation we decided on the beautiful grounds of Osgoode Hall and the adjacent Nathan Phillips Square (because of course we had to get the TORONTO Sign in one of the photos lol). These two are great locations since they are right beside each other and offer tons of variety with regards to the look of the photos. There are so many interesting backgrounds that they can really make the photos pop, as you will see!
The session happened in the last few hours of daylight and boy was it super cold on this day! I would like to say a special thank you to the couple for being real troopers and lasting for the entire 2 hour e-shoot session, in what was probably weather that was in the negative digits! Let me say though, that this couple came dressed to impress! I absolutely loved the stunning blue dress that Angela was rocking as well as her lovely updo! Andrew's look complemented Angela's look vey nicely and I also liked that the couple decided to go for a non-matchy look for their session, but rather one that was complimentary of each other!
One thing that I Ioved most about this shoot was taking the couple up on the overpass at Nathan Phillips square and having them end off the shoot by dancing to two songs of their choice which ended up being Monica's "Angel of Mine" and a Ugandan Song by Juliana Kanyomozi & Bushoke called Usiende Mbali (This was Andrew's pick). Not so many people seem to go up on the overpass at Nathan Phillip's Square for some reason and so we practically had the whole place to ourselves with all the amazing views of Old City Hall, City Hall and Nathan Phillips Square. I love ending off my e-shoots with capturing a bit of dancing and this location was absolutely beautiful for it!
Thank you once again Angela and Andrew for having me capture this special time in your lives!

To end off this blog post, I have to say I really enjoyed doing this e-shoot and I hope I get to do more amazing engagement sessions like this one in the New Year! Congratulations once again to the couple!
