Georgina and Jahangir's Wedding at Chateau Le Jardin

Hey Everyone! I am so excited because I get to share a super beautiful wedding today! A bringing together of two cultures. Georgina and Jahangir’s wedding took place in September of last year and it was a gorgeous event filled with the love of family and friends.

We started the day off with getting ready photos at the bride’s brother’s house. Georgina got her hair and make-up done by the ultra talented Dipika of Blush by Dipika Grover. I loved the natural but stunning make-up look that she gave the beautiful bride and the hairstyle was just so intricately gorgeous.

After getting ready shots we headed to Centennial park for the first look! I was so excited to find a willow tree in the park and this where I had the bride and groom do their first look. It was such a lovely moment to capture as the groom excitedly saw his wife for the first time.

The wedding venue was the beautiful Chateau Le Jardin! I have shot here a number of times and I really love this venue especially for summer weddings due to the beautiful garden they have on the grounds.

The reception was so much fun and that was due in part to it being super organized and hosted by one of the top MC/DJ duos in Toronto. I love it when an MC can hype up a crowd and make people laugh, while the amazing DJ got everyone off their seats and on to the dance floor. All this truly made my job easier as I got to capture everyone in great spirits and just purely enjoying themselves! So yeah if there is something I would recommend future brides and grooms invest in for their wedding, It would definitely be a great MC and a DJ who knows how to spin some good music!

Lavinia and Carl's Splendid Wedding

Hello Hello Hello! In this latest blog post I am so happy to be featuring some photos from the beautiful wedding of the gorgeous couple that is Lavinia and Carl. Today is their one year anniversary and this was just a most stunning wedding! I can’t believe I did not blog it yet! This day was full of happy vibes and emotional moments everywhere! From Lavinia gifting her bridesmaids with beautiful handwritten and personalized letters to the beautiful church ceremony and the amazing reception that was filled with amazing people, good food, music and laughter.

Looking back on this day I remember that It was a super hot day (there were heat warnings on the news) and I have to commend the bride and groom and the entire bridal party on being serious troopers! Kudos to the lovely wedding planner Marielle Gourlay for ensuring that the day went smoothly.

At the bottom of this blog post you can check out the tear jerker of a video that was made for their e-shoot (by my company) and played at their wedding! The guests absolutely loved it! Happy Anniversary Lavinia and Carl! Wishing you a lifetime of happiness!

Salma and Vivek's Nikkah at The Sayeda Khadija Centre

Hi Hi Hi! Karimah here, back and active on this blogging thing again! It is currently the middle of wedding season but if you can believe it I am so happy to share a number of blog posts in the upcoming month. This week am sharing a few images from Salma and Vivek’s Nikkah that happened back in late April. It took place at a mosque that has one of the most stunning interiors I have seen in the G.T.A.

The Sayeda Khadija Centre is located in Mississauga and really is one of those places where you feel like you just can’t take a bad photo. The blue hued tiles that don the walls are just so beautiful.

The Nikkah was a beautiful sight to witness and I really enjoyed the speech by the Imam.

After the Nikkah ceremony we got some family photos (okay a lot of family photos lol) and then headed to beautiful Kariya Park to take some portraits of the couple. Salma had mentioned prior to the event that she wanted to take some images with a smoke bomb and even though I had only ever shot with one once prior we went for it and I loved the end results.

I loved this couple as they were easy going and you could tell that they were just super in love as well. MashAllah may Allah (S.W.T) protect them always. Congratulations Salma and Vivek!

Z and M's Wedding Details

Hi Hi Hi! Welcome to another post on my blog! Can you believe we are already in April! I know I know, by the looks of it outside today and this ehheem "Ice Storm" we might as well be in February. Anyway weather talk aside, I am so excited to share this blog post featuring details from my first wedding of this year! The bride came all the way from Edmonton to have her beautiful wedding in our city! One thing I absolutely loved about this wedding was the amount of time the bride gave me to take her getting ready shots and portraits. I started off the wedding day by taking getting ready and detail shots at the double tree hotel and because we started the day early I was able to utilize beautiful natural light, streaming in from the large windows for the getting ready portion of the day resulting in gorgeous photos! Future clients take note! These are two integral things for me as a wedding photographer when it comes to wedding day photos; Time and utilizing natural light. I have said it many times before! Making sure to give your photographer time to do their job is integral especially when it comes to portraits. We photographers really cannot do much in 10 minutes. If you prioritize your wedding day photos then please do make sure to give us the time to do our job by scheduling it in your wedding day timeline and also prioritizing that time! I am currently offering free timeline assistance for Summer 2018 weddings so if you are still looking for a photographer then get in touch!

The love of family and friends was so evident at this stunning wedding. The bride had eight bridesmaids and they all looked stunning in their beige diraacs! I appreciated that one of them (out of love for her friend) was making sure that I did my job correctly lol, she also was very kind to assist me with the details and organizing family members during the family portraits! In my opinion that is what a good bridesmaid should do!

Another element of this wedding that I truly loved was the beautiful decor that was done by The Wedding Boutique! Guys the details were so on point and to die for! They are truly professionals at their work and the owner is so friendly!

Details From Hodan and Abdi's Wedding!

Hi Everyone! Happy New Year and welcome to my first blog post of 2018! Today I get to share the gorgeous detail images from one of the beautiful summer 2017 weddings that I covered! A little backstory here is that the bride and groom don't actually live in Canada but instead are currently based in Abu Dhabi however as the bride grew up in Scarborough, she returned home to have her wedding. The bride is a good friend of a past client of mine and that is how she had come to find out about my work.

The wedding took place in what is one of my favourite banquet halls in the G.T.A; The Scarborough Convention Centre! One of the things I really adored at this wedding was the beautiful colour scheme of maroon and blush! (2018 Brides take note this was actually a most stunning combo!). Weddings by Sultana did an amazing job on the reception decor and I distinctly remember a couple of guests coming up to me to ask who did the decor since they were in love with it.

I have to say that it was a sincere pleasure to work with Hodan and Abdi for their wedding and engagement photos and I wish them a most blessed life together always. Ameen.
