Grace and Edward's Wedding at The Aga Khan Museum and Embassy Grand Banquet Hall

Hello everyone and welcome to my first wedding blog post of 2020! Can you believe I am posting it at the end of March! Gosh I need to get slightly better (okay a lot better) at this blogging thing. Currently the world is going through a scary and unprecedented time in history with the COVID-19 situation, which has effectively forced a lot of people to stay put at home. Well apart from our frontline heroes! Shoutout to them for their amazing work! I hope everyone is practicing social distancing and staying safe so we can alleviate the burden on our healthcare system and communities. I personally have been working from home these past two weeks and it has been crazy but I have been getting quite a lot done and now even got a bit of time to squeeze in this blogpost which I hope you will all enjoy because the photos are gorgeous!

This Ghanaian Canadian Wedding happened last year and am only now getting a chance to post it on here. It is an honour to be able to share images from the wedding of Edward and Grace who are one of the most elegant couples I have had the pleasure of photographing in my time as a wedding photographer.

This wedding was simply stylish and I am so happy to have been able to get the opportunity to capture it! I have to say Grace and Edward are probably one of the nicest couples I have ever had the pleasure of working with. I mean they even went out of their way to gift me with the most beautiful tulips after the wedding to say thanks, and I literally had tears in my eyes. Here is hoping every client I have moving forward can be as amazing as them.

The wedding day started off with getting ready shots at a hotel North of Toronto. For the creative session with the couple, we drove to the Aga Khan Museum and to our surprise the grounds were full of stunning white cherry blossom trees. How lucky were we! It was really something out of a fairytale!

The ceremony took place at the Embassy Grand Banquet Hall. The whole room was in awe when Grace started singing a beautiful song for her husband. Not a dry eye was left in that room after that.

The reception space was absolutely drop dead gorgeous. with the decor having being done by the most talented team from Dream Creations. Once the party started there was no stopping the dancing! Being a huge fan of Afro pop myself, I was so happy to hear all the amazing songs! Oh and did I mention there was a live band! Gosh this wedding was perfect! Okay I will stop writing now and move on to the photos. Enjoy!

A Winter Portrait Shoot With Eritrean Canadian Influencer Segen Misghina

Hello hello Hello! Today is super exciting as I get to post my first blog post of the year! In this post I am featuring Eritrean Canadian Influencer and Content Creator Segen Misghina! I met Segen last year at a Habesha Networking event called Habesha Networks however I had heard of her work prior to the event (by the way for those that don’t know, the word “Habesha” means those of Eritrean and Ethiopian cultural backgrounds). Segen’s content creation work is focused on beauty and lifestyle. She describes her work as stemming from her passion of “empowering women to own their true beauty”.

We took these photos on the grounds of Edwards Garden. The landscapes were snow covered and everything looked absolutely beautiful.

If you would like to get in touch with Segen for business collaborations then you can follow her on instagram @segenhm. Also don’t forget to subscribe to her Youtube page! I personally have only ever subscribed to about three different influencers and Segen is one of them. Her content is fresh, funny and entertaining.

If you would like to book me for your portrait session then get in touch HERE!

Okay that brings me to the end of this blogpost! It was such a pleasure to work with Segen! I highly encourage you to checkout her channel on youtube and hit the subscribe button!

I have to say I quite love winter for the stunning shots I am able to get with all the beautiful snow. Photography has really made me appreciate this once dreaded season! Until next time have a great weekend!

Jessica and Mel's E-shoot (The ROM, Trinity College and the Gardiner Museum)

Hello beautiful souls! Welcome to another blog post on my website! Today I am thrilled to share some images from this e-shoot! Jessica is from the G.T.A and Mel is from Atlanta. They met at a work function and are just one of the loveliest couples I have had a chance of working with. We started off our shoot at the Royal Ontario Museum and headed up to Trinity college and then ended at the Gardiner mMuseum. I loved the whole look and feel of this shoot and just hope I get to work with more awesome clients this year and the next!

Sunset Romance Styled Wedding Shoot

Hi Everyone! Welcome to my blog! For those that have been here before; I am delighted you are back! And for those that are new here, I thank you for the support and I look forward to sharing some images below that could serve as inspiration for your wedding or projects!

Today I am pleased to showcase a romantic “Sunset Romance” themed styled wedding shoot. I got the chance to work with some lovely vendors back in March who were integral in putting this shoot together. It is safe to say that even though no actual sunlight was seen in this shoot, the elements featured just made it feel as warm and lovely as a sunset. From the tablescapes to the amazing outfits that our “bride” and “groom” wore, to the cake, to the marquee letters, to the stunning floral backdrop and floors (I mean i could go on an on). All the vendors really just gave it a lovely effort and It all came together quite nicely. Our styled shoot is currently featured in the fall issue of Hitched Magazine and so if you still love to read print magazines you can check it out at a store near you.

I have to say organizing a styled shoot is not an easy task, especially with a large team of vendors but I would like to thank Erica of Eri Styled Events (as well as the Coque Millinery) and Omega of Doll Face Dredie for coming up with the vision for this shoot and inviting me to be a part of it. I would also like to thank the National Club of Toronto for letting us use their neat space (we were super grateful as it was a rainy day that day so an indoor location was great!).

If you love anything you see please don’t forget to show some support by checking out the links to the vendors below.

Georgina and Jahangir's Wedding at Chateau Le Jardin

Hey Everyone! I am so excited because I get to share a super beautiful wedding today! A bringing together of two cultures. Georgina and Jahangir’s wedding took place in September of last year and it was a gorgeous event filled with the love of family and friends.

We started the day off with getting ready photos at the bride’s brother’s house. Georgina got her hair and make-up done by the ultra talented Dipika of Blush by Dipika Grover. I loved the natural but stunning make-up look that she gave the beautiful bride and the hairstyle was just so intricately gorgeous.

After getting ready shots we headed to Centennial park for the first look! I was so excited to find a willow tree in the park and this where I had the bride and groom do their first look. It was such a lovely moment to capture as the groom excitedly saw his wife for the first time.

The wedding venue was the beautiful Chateau Le Jardin! I have shot here a number of times and I really love this venue especially for summer weddings due to the beautiful garden they have on the grounds.

The reception was so much fun and that was due in part to it being super organized and hosted by one of the top MC/DJ duos in Toronto. I love it when an MC can hype up a crowd and make people laugh, while the amazing DJ got everyone off their seats and on to the dance floor. All this truly made my job easier as I got to capture everyone in great spirits and just purely enjoying themselves! So yeah if there is something I would recommend future brides and grooms invest in for their wedding, It would definitely be a great MC and a DJ who knows how to spin some good music!
